Gustav Von Karma

This year Court Record (a great Ace Attorney fansite) is holding its super OC contest again! Not only one, but between 2 and 5 characters this time!

And of course I did five *bang*. I died by writing the descriptions ('cause I wrote a huge tartine of course).

So here is Gustav! And you win the right to read the descriptive text, yay!

• Character's Name: Gustav Von Karma


• Age: 35 (end of PW arc) 


• Occupation: International Prosecutor (presumed dead)


• Brief Physical Description: Gustav is a good-looking man, quite tall (1,86m) with broad shoulders. He has blue sapphire eyes under eyebrows which end in small curls. He wears his long silver plum hair tied in catogan (sort of ponytail) and has sideburns. 
  His impressive silhouette, his serious face and his chic in Von Karma's way intimidate easily his opponents whose he impose naturally respect. He's always pleasant and he perfectly masters frozen smiles - that means smiling while taking people down a peg or two, but still politely.
  The brooch he wears is a present from Claudia. He lost his right forearm in the Bengal jungle and has replaced it by a bionic arm even if it cannot be seen, because he always wears gloves.

• Brief Personality Description: The expression "an iron fist in a silk glove" applies perfectly to Gustav's personality, both in the literal and figurative senses. He's always very courteous in any case and behaves like a perfect gentleman. As a Von Karma, he's uncompromising, he likes to get things right, rigor, meticulous and well executed work, and hates when the situation slides out of his control, otherwise he never let himself be pushed around and never gives up until things return to normal. He's also a man of integrity, upright and honest with a strong sense of justice, as well as he's a stickler about principles. The most important thing in what he puts his honour at stake is to punish criminals and to ensure that justice is served. He challenges his opponents to a duel by slapping their face with his glove.
  Due to his work he has to travel a lot which allows him to discover new countries and cultures. He speaks fluently about twenty different languages. Whenever he has time between two cases -and planes- he takes the opportunity to visit the place, to tour the local curiosities and museums, and if there were any to explore archaeological sites, most often by taking part to the dig.

• Connection to canon characters:Gustav is Franziska's Austrian cousin, his father is Manfred's brother, so Manfred is his uncle. As only child Gustav consider Franziska as a little sister even though he's much older than her. He's quite crazy about his "little cutie lady Franzy" and always pampered her. Gustav is also Franziska's favorite cousin and she admires his skill as prosecutor. He made Miles Edgeworth's acquaintance after he was adopted by Manfred. The young Miles devote an intense admiration to Gustav who became quickly his model and encouraged him to become prosecutor.
  Franziska was only 10 when Gustav disappeared, before that he entrust  Miles (who was 17) to take care of Franzy. When Gustav came back nine years later everybody thought that he was dead. He was furious to discover that Miles broke his promise and made Franzy cry by letting her behind.

• "Brief" Background: Gustav started his career as international prosecutor in Austria at the age of 18. Two years later he became an international prosecutor and got very soon a worldwide reputation as genius prosecutor (as any good Von Karma. Obviously). He had to deal with increasingly important files in collaboration with Interpol or Foreign Ministry, such as cases about terrorism or war criminals.
  He met Claudia during one of this cases for which they had to work together. She was so brilliant that he considered her as his equal, and then after get to know her, he fell in love with her. It was luckily mutual love, and a few years after they got engaged to each other. The eve of the wedding day Gustav met Claudia who gave him her precious brooch. It was the last present she ever gave to him: she was found dead in the afternoon of the same day. As he couldn't believe the suicide-accident theory Gustav asked to open an inquiry that won't come off because of a lack of suspect and evidences.
  Still under the shock of Claudia's death, Gustav neglected his work at the prosecutor's office and decided to pursue his own investigation. He discovered that Claudia's brooch had a false bottom and contained a microSD card. Once decrypted he accessed a big file about an organization called "Black River" which most businesses were illegal, mainly poaching, theft and trade of jewels, fur and other things for the fashion and haute-couture industry. Not very and badly known by the police force they're related to some unexplained death and disappearance finely stifled and forgotten. Claudia's data file listed the activities, victims, clients and even some members of the Black River organization. Realizing how much powerful and influent was Black River as well as understanding the motivations behind Claudia's murder, Gustav decided to follow the quest of his bride in order to dismantle the network and make the criminals be found guilty.
  A year of investigations later he boarded anonymously a cargo going poach to India, but was unmasked off the Bangladesh coast. He managed only just to swim and run away deep in the Bengal jungle. There he was confronted with a huge tiger which was absolutely not inclined to share its territory with a human being on the run - not even if he's a genius prosecutor because it doesn't care at all. Every time that Gustav and the tiger encountered each other in the jungle they had a fight but no one had the upper hand. Over time a mutual respect arose and they let the other one go, each in his own territory. 
  Few months later the jungle was upset by poachers' arrival. In wishing to protect Gustav the tiger already injured caught him by the arm and dragged him to a safe place. Before to collapse the tiger killed and put to flight the rest of poachers. Gustav also realized that he wasn't alone to have been protected when a small baby white tiger came out whine to its mother's body. He swore to protect and raise the young of his friend which he gave the name Tigrou.
  Years passed and both of them joined a village of indigenous people where a faith healer examined the wound on Gustav's arm that he had to amputate. Because of his affinity with Tigrou and its strange color the native nicknamed Gustav "Man-Tiger". Then one day people from the World Wildlife Fund came to the village in order to rest before continuing their mission. They helped Gustav - who disappeared without trace and was reported missing then left for dead - to be repatriate with Tigrou. Once back to the modern civilization Gustav got his bionic arm as substitution for the old one and went back on the trail of Black River. He traced this way to a certain Vincent K. Prince and to his own family with a certain lady Von Karma...

Que dire de plus ? Cette année voit le retour du super concours d'OC de Court Record ! "Multi-characters" de 2 à 5 personnages cette fois-ci !

Le premier sur la liste est donc ce cher Gustav qui roule sa bosse depuis un moment déjà ~

Pas de version française pour la description cette fois, je l'ai faite en anglais et j'ai bien cru que je n'en verrai jamais le bout ! *arghl*
